laptop computer reviews?
My computer crashed yesterday. I am using my boyfriends computer - a Dell. I have three options: 1. to buy office (word, outlook, excel) for his computer 2. buy a new computer 3. buy a used computer off craigslist. I am not an IT person, so buying a used computer is a bit scarry…I don't know what I am looking for exactly. I am a business owner and really use my computer a lot! What are the reviews on computers? Any suggestions on what to do or what to ask? I had a fujitsu lifebook which I liked and took a beating over years. I don't want to spend more than 00 but want to get the most with that $$$
Thanks
Kellie
My computer crashed because it won't take a charge from the power cord any more and I don't have any of the original CDs
it's 3 or more years old and I've spilled coffee on it a few times
What do you think of craigslist? People list new computers for sale there…not sure why…but they do. I saw one for a lamberguini laptop for 00 thoughts?

you haven't mentioned the cause or the symptoms of the crash. Unless it is some hardware failure, all kind of crash can be recovered from by simply inserting windows cd and restarting computer to boot from the cd, and then by running a repair install, which hardly takes more than an hour, bringing back your computer as it was before the so called crash.
if you have problem booting from windows cd, check the link below

if you can boot from windows cd, then the link below explains what to do next

Even in case of a hardware failure, it can be repaired by simply replacing the faulty part. all that it would cost is the purchase of that one part
You don't want a dell, they have the worst tech support ever. Get one of these computer. I like the hp ones.

I am extremely satisfied with my computer. It is an HP dv6226. I bought it for $750 at Office Max. It comes with a lot of software including a trial version of Office 2007. I recommend HP for three main reasons; first, HP has never given me any problems, second, HP has a lot of features that are integrated into windows, third, HP is very good with giving support in case you encounter any problems.
Ms. Kellie the best way is for you to buy a new computer, and yes I know that you have a budget on what to pay, but now a days if you want a very reliable computer, you need at least to spend up $1500.00,esp. if you like the Fujitsu, try and go to 3 diff. kinds of store, (Fryers, Comp. USA, or on line for Dell.com), they will give you and help you with everything that you need esp. if you have your own business. Go on line first before you go drive on this store. Those people from Dell on line is very kind and will help you. Dell will setup a small business credit line if you want if the machine is slightly over your limit. Other reliable brands are Sony, gateway…..good luck Ma'am!
